According to the Sports Business Journal, last weekend in Abu Dhabi, the UFC 257 tournament, entitled the rematch of the ex-champion of the organization in two weight categories, Irish Conor McGregor (22-5), and American Dustin Poirier (27-6), became historical.

According to journalist Josh Ourand, the event was the second most sold paid-to-air broadcast (PPV) in UFC history, surpassing 1.6 million shopping.

Most of the PPV, 1.2 million, was sold from the ESPN + platform, while the remaining 400,000 went to third-party services.

The UFC 257 tournament lost only to the megafight of the same McGregor and the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, who collected a record 2.4 million PPV at UFC 229 two years ago.
