Boxing

Eddie Hearn said that the teams of Anthony Joshua (24-1, 22 KO) and Alexander Usik (18-0, 13 KO) were given two more weeks to negotiate the fight for the WBO world heavyweight title. The title belongs to the British, and the Ukrainian is the official contender for the belt of the World Boxing Organization.

The British promoter said that he had already made Usyk an offer, which he considered very fair. At the same time, the head of Matchroom Boxing emphasizes that he does not intend to hold the WBO belt by force and that if Usyka’s financial expectations turn out to be too high, Joshua will give up one of his titles.

Earlier, Hearn announced that he did not intend to participate in the tender for the choice of the organizer of this duel. The Briton does not want to participate in the call for proposals, in which the promoter organization Triller Fight Club can also take part.
