Next UFC? Shavkat Rakhmonov became the champion of M-1 Global

The main battle of the M-1 Challenge 101 tournament took place in Almaty, where the Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov performed, reports

Last night "Nomad" met with Danil Prikazy from Russia. At stake was an empty welterweight champion belt (77 kg).

In September of last year, the former champion of the company, Alexey Kunchenko, was successfully run under the umbrella of the UFC.

Six months later, the company's matchmakers identified the main contenders for the title – Shavkata and Prikazu.

Yesterday evening, he was confronted with a Danil Prikaz puncher from Russia. The fighter suffered his previous defeat in June 2017. In one and a half years of the Order, he scored five victories after receiving the main contender for the title.

The fight was also interesting because the winner gets a real chance to go to the biggest promotion in the world – the UFC. To do this you must fulfill one condition – one or more successful title defenses.

During the first round, Shavkat used anthropometric data and worked at great distances. But closer to the center of the Order, the gap broke off successfully and had the advantage of speed.

"Nomad" tried several times to bring the opponent to the ground, but the Order has successfully completed these attempts.

In the second five minutes Shavkat still found his rhythm and turned to the battlefield. In the middle of the round Rakhmonov designed a tough Grand-and-Paun and scored orders on the ground.

So Shavkat Rakhmonov became the first M-1 champion from Kazakhstan.

If the title has been defended successfully, Rakhmon will be transferred to UFC.

We add that Rakhmonov, 24, made his debut at MMA in October 2014. Since then, the fighter has released ten wins, and all ended prematurely.

Last February, Rakhmonov successfully returned to the business after a 15-month break in his career. A fighter from Kazakhstan, who had suffered all injuries, took three wins for twelve months.
