ITF publishes 34-page decision in the case Dayana Yastremskoywho was suspected of doping.

The Ukrainian woman was able to prove that the prohibited substance – Mesterolone metabolites – got into her body as a result of contact with her boyfriend on November 23-24, 2020. The tennis player stated that he was taking the drug without her knowledge. Both young men confirmed this, their testimonies for the most part coincided. The athlete’s mother testified to the same.

Yastremskaya also presented other evidence. her innocence of deliberate doping and was tested on a polygraph.

Experts reported that the concentration of meterolone in the athlete’s body was low, the hair test gave a negative result. Endocrinology experts said there is no evidence that mesterolone has a positive effect on athletic performance in women.
