Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Tarasov was arrested at Sheremetyevo airport when he went through customs, reports championat.com.
The footballer of the Moscow team, who returned from Spain where he held a training camp with his club, walked down the green corridor but was stopped by customs officials.
Tarasov was detained in accordance with Article 16 (4) of the Russian Civil Code ("Undeclared or insufficient declaration of cash and (or) individual currency instruments").
If Tarasov's guilt has been proven, he must pay a fine of one to two to two undeclared cash amounts and the cost of currency instruments for an administrative offense. In addition, undeclared money can be collected.
According to sport-express.ru, however, the Lokomotiv press attachee Stanislav Redikultsev denied that the team midfielder Dmitry Tarasov was detained at customs Sheremetyevo.
"I do not know what information comes from where, but Tarasov and I went along with customs and the airport and did not detain anyone." In all likelihood this message is not true.
