Speaking about the February 24 fight against ONE Championship flyweight champion Adriano Moraes, former UFC star Demetrius Johnson admitted that he has always had problems facing tall opponents.

“Moraes is a great athlete. He is a great champion. He had bone-to-bone fights with Jehe Eustakio. They were great fights to learn from. In the end, we will be challenging him. Let’s see how we look against him.”

Throughout my career I have always had problems fighting tall, long-armed opponents. In the UFC bantamweight title, fights against Miguel Torres and Dominic Cruz are remembered. You can also look at Tim Elliot, who was long and wiry enough for the lightest division.

If you take a look at my career, I’ve always had small problems with taller opponents. During the fight, you simply face a much greater mass. When you fight guys who are a little bigger by nature, they will be bigger, taller and longer. This is another challenge to be tackled, “Demetrius Johnson said in an interview with MMA Fighting.
