According to media reports, CSKA closes the deal on the midfielder of the Norwegian Stabek Emil Bohinen… In the near future, the 21-year-old footballer is to sign a contract with the “army team”, the transfer amount will be about 1.5 million euros. We are talking about a potential newcomer to CSKA.

Bohinen has long wanted to leave for a more status championship

Emil was born to former Norwegian footballer Lars Bohinen, who played for Nottingham Forest, Blackburn and Derby County in the 90s in England. In 2011, Bohinen Jr. got into the Stabek Academy, where at that time his father worked as a sports director. Six years later, in 2017, he signed his first professional contract, making his debut at the age of 18 in the match of the Norwegian Eliteseria against Sarpsborg (3: 0).

Two years later, Emil became a player in the starting lineup of Stabek, and in 2020 he twice took the team onto the field with a captain’s armband. Bochninen is left-handed and can play several positions in midfield at once. In the 2019 season in Elitseria, it was most often used in the center and on the right, and already last year Bohinen could be seen more often in the support zone.

In four years at Stabek, the 21-year-old Norwegian played 73 matches, scored 9 goals, gave 10 assists and received 11 yellow cards. He did not leave the field.

Bohinen has gone through all the youth teams of Norway, but has not yet reached the main one due to the high competition in the person of Sander Berge and Martin Edegaard.

Emil does not hide his desire for a stronger championship. Previously, they were interested in Sheffield and Leeds, but, most likely, Bohinen will get CSKA.

How did the negotiations go?

Interest in the 21-year-old midfielder from the army club became known earlier this month. The Norwegian edition VG reported that CSKA is ready to offer Stabek over 1 million euros for Bohinen. At the same time, the information about the interest in the player was confirmed by the sports director of the Norwegian club Torgeir Bjarmann, without specifying, however, who exactly has views on him.

“I can confirm that there are people who show great concrete interest in Emil, but at the moment nothing is clear,” said the sports director of Stabek.

The same VG edition reported that Molde offered about 970 thousand euros for Bohinen last week, but Stabek refused. After that, the 21-year-old Norwegian announced that he would like to move to a more status club.

After a while, Stabek’s sports director Torgeir Bjarmann gave another interview to Eurosport.no, confirming the foreign club’s interest in Bohinen.

“The interest is so specific that Emil was allowed to speak with the club to see if he could go there. If so, let’s see if we can reach an agreement. There is no certainty yet. The player will have the last word. But, as I said, we are conducting a dialogue and there is a specific interest, ”said Bjarmann.

Later, Bohinen himself refused to comment on information about his possible transition to CSKA, and the next day the local TV2 channel reported that the deal was fully agreed at the club level, and the parties only had to agree on the details of the player’s personal contract. VG also reported that the transfer should amount to 1.5 million euros, and the player plans to fly to Moscow on Sunday.

According to the website Fotballnerd.no, Bohinen has already said goodbye to his Stabek partners and is to leave for Russia in the near future.

The Scandinavians have always played great at CSKA. We hope that the talented Norwegian from the humble Stabek will not be an exception.
