Bob Arum announced that Terence Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) will not return to the ring until October. This means that the WBO welterweight champion of the world, who last boxed in November, will receive an almost one-year break from playing in the ring.

Recently, it was reported that Josecito Lopez (38-8, 21 KOs) could become Crawford’s next opponent. In his last two professional fights, Lopez beat John Molina and Francisco Santana ahead of schedule. The last fight was held by a boxer from California in December.

Previously, there were preliminary negotiations to organize fights between Crawford and Sean Porter and Manny Pacquiao. In the end, Porter will have a rematch with Keith Thurman in the fall, and Pacquiao will cross gloves with Errol Spence Jr. in August.
