Jake Donovan, a journalist for Boxingscene.com, believes that Gennady Golovkin's next opponent in the upcoming bout in June could be Polish undefeated boxer Kamil Sheremet, reports Prosports.kz.
"Sheremet remains close to the top of the WBC and WBA middleweight ratings. The only fighter to top him in any rating is Golovkin, who recently signed a lucrative contract with the DAZN Sports Streaming Service and is looking for a rival for June.
Sheremet, since no one better fits the image of the intended opponent – an unbeaten, television-friendly record has high ratings and a modest hit, so the organizer is not afraid of the safety of GGG.
Although Golovkin opts for the reverse route, WBO title holder Demetrius Andrade and provisional holder of the WBC belt Jermull Charlo are looking for opponents for the next bouts. These two boxers keep fighting for dates and opponents in June as well.
The future of Sheremet never looked better than when his hand was raised in a European title fight in France, "says Donovan.
